Recipient of the Historic Preservation Award for “adaptive re-use” from the Pittsfield Historical Commission the renovation of the former St. Luke’s Hospital into a 100-unit elderly housing facility required the removal of nearly all interior walls, as well as existing mechanical and electrical systems. The renovated space provides 93 one-bedroom units, two congregate apartments, and five wheelchair accessible units. Common areas include a lounge, dining room, kitchen, lobby with mail area, and a laundry. Outdoor areas include a sitting area, tenant gardening space, and parking for 50 vehicles.
